On November 24 we held the seminar on Sustainable Food, offered by our partners Humane Society International and Alimentação Consciente Brasil. The Seminar will be open to all LUPPA participants, with no limit on the number of people invited per participating city.

We reflected on questions such as:

  • What impact do the diets adopted in public food programs have on health and the planet?
  • Why is it important for school meal menus and those of other food programs to be designed as multidimensional public policies that aim at students’ health but also at the sustainability of the entire food system?
  • How can large-scale public food procurement impact local food production and family farming?
