Applications Extended! Cities and institutions that wish to collaborate technically with the 2nd edition of LUPPA have until September 9 to apply! Below we share important information and a step-by-step guide to submitting your application.
Application for Mentor Cities
The main objective of the mentoring is to provide the supported cities with tools, input, knowledge and references for structuring public food policies.
Who can participate:
- City governments of Brazilian cities that have consolidated policies related to sustainable, circular and resilient food systems and that commit to developing a work plan with the cities receiving mentoring, including technical cooperation and the delivery of virtual workshops.
Main benefits:
- Visibility, leadership at the national level, sharing of experiences, the opportunity to meet any targets committed to with the international community, and impact on SDGs 2, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 17.

Application for Mentor Organizations
Mentor institutions may provide training sessions, seminars, workshops and technical content to the cities participating in LUPPA, according to the partnership proposal submitted at the time of application.
Who can participate:
Non-profit institutions, university departments, research groups or research centers, and networks or alliances of organizations with expertise in LUPPA’s areas of work related to sustainable, circular and resilient food systems.
Main benefits:
Taking part in a national laboratory of cities engaged with the food systems agenda, sharing experiences and promoting webinars on their area of expertise, with impact on SDGs 2, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 17.
