As part of this planning, we also invited the cities to set an achievable goal within the first edition of LUPPA (by September 2022).
Our thematic session was on Structuring Food Policy – Building Strategic Plans in municipalities, and we held a panel with the cities of São Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Curitiba to understand these municipalities’ experience in drawing up their strategic food and nutrition security (SAN) plans, especially the challenges of building and implementing planning that is truly intersectoral and focused on tangible results for society.
