
Applications are now open for the selection of cities that will join the 4th edition of LUPPA! Applications are completely free of charge and close on August 28. Here are some important details and a step-by-step guide on how to apply. Why take part in the 4th edition of LUPPA? The cities selected for this edition will:
- Take part in a national lab of cities committed to the agenda of sustainable and accessible food systems, with the possibility of international visibility for their good practices;
- Take part in an immersive gathering, LUPPA LAB, attended by representatives of cities from every region of the country;
- Access content on the different aspects of local food systems;
- Exchange experiences, information and tools with other cities;
- Take part in seminars, training sessions and an intermunicipal mutual support network;
- Take part in a specific selection process to receive technical cooperation from mentor cities;
- And more: benefit from solid support to develop or improve their Municipal Public Policy on Food and Nutrition Security
Who can participate? Brazilian cities with between 10,000 and 1 million inhabitants whose municipal government is committed to and engaged in developing public policies related to food systems, even if at an early stage. To demonstrate this commitment, cities must attach to the application form a letter of commitment signed by the Mayor or Deputy Mayor; We will select up to 10 cities for this edition! We value territorial diversity and are looking for cities from all Brazilian biomes, with 40% of the places reserved for cities located in the Legal Amazon.
