On October 25, at 10 a.m. (Brasília time), we held the seminar Impact of participation in PNAE and PAA in Brazilian municipalities, offered by the Public Policy Group (GPP) of Esalq/USP

In this seminar we reflected on the following questions:

• Does participating in PNAE (National School Feeding Program) or PAA (Food Acquisition Program) influence the choice of the basket of products grown by farmers?
• What are the impacts of participation in PNAE and PAA on the income of family farmers and on GHG emissions?
• How can the positive impacts of institutional procurement programs be increased?
• What are the main obstacles to expanding institutional procurement programs?
