LUPPA 5th edition
(2026)
Throughout each edition, LUPPA is organized as a journey of learning and exchange among municipalities. This journey includes thematic seminars, online workshops, the LUPPA Lab – an in-person immersion and collaboration event among cities – and LUPPA Web, a that marks the end of the cycle and presents the initiative’s next steps.
In the 5th edition (2026), LUPPA brought together 11 cities from 10 Brazilian states. The cycle also received support from the mentor cities Curitiba (PR), Osasco (SP), Recife (PE), Salvador (BA), São Paulo (SP), and Barcarena (PA), which shared experiences and best practices to strengthen the development of local food policies.
Shared experiences and collaborative solutions
The LUPPA Lab is the in-person gathering that marks a pivotal moment in the journey of each edition of the program. Over the course of several days, representatives from participating cities come together to deepen their learning, share experiences, and develop collaborative solutions to the challenges facing urban food systems.
In this edition, the LUPPA Lab was held in Caxias do Sul (RS) from May 18 to 22, 2026.
