Meet the new LUPPA cities selected for the 4th edition of the program
On Monday, November 2nd, the LUPPA WEB event took place. Held remotely, the event presented the results of the third LAB and featured the participation of municipal managers from Caxias do Sul/RS, Careiro/AM, and Osasco/SP, some of our LUPPA cities.
During the live event, the cities selected for the fourth edition of the Urban Laboratory of Food Policy (LUPPA) were also announced.
The new selection includes four cities from the North, two from the Northeast, two from the South, and three from the Southeast of Brazil. The selection also reflects a diversity of biomes: five municipalities are in the Amazon region, four in the Atlantic Forest, one in the Pampa region, and one in a transition zone between the Caatinga and the Cerrado. This territorial diversity makes LUPPA a richer, more complex experience and strengthens the exchange of knowledge fostered by remote activities and the LAB, LUPPA’s annual in-person gathering.
Here is the list of selected cities:
- Arame – MA
- Benevides – PA
- Blumenau – SC
- Francisco Morato – SP
- Itapipoca – CE
- Marituba – PA
- Mogi das Cruzes – SP
- Porto Velho – RO
- Santa Luzia – MG
- Santiago – RS
- Tefé – AM
We are excited and eager to embark on this new edition! We warmly welcome the new cities joining our community.
