On January 25, at 10 a.m., we held the seminar Tackling Food Waste and Municipal Management, offered by Embrapa Alimentos e Territórios in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to Brazil. In this seminar we reflected on which ongoing actions/policies can tackle waste.

Gustavo Porpino, from Embrapa, spoke about the challenges and opportunities for Brazilian cities to reduce food waste. We also welcomed Mia Reiss, circular development consultant at FAO Americas, to share strategies for reducing food waste in the cities of Latin America and the Caribbean, and Claudia Alves, from the city of Funchal, Portugal, to share her experience in a European Union city.
